Wave the flag, salute, sing the national anthem, celebrate!

July – the month we celebrate our freedom. FREEDOM—what a precious gift! But that “gift” was expensive. It is staggering to our imagination to consider how many men and women of the various branches of our armed services have given their lives for our freedom. Though it is free to us who did not have to fight in a war, it didn’t come cheap. A very high price was paid by those who fought that we could be free. May we always value and cherish the freedom we have and
never be complacent about it and never forget those who made it possible. May the freedom ring never be silenced! May the stars
and stripes continue to wave over the LAND OF THE FREE!

“Let freedom ring – forever!”

OVER – ABOVE – BEYOND

We are FREE in Christ

Over my sins passed the blood—

The blood of the slain perfect Lamb,

Cleansing my soul,

Making me whole,

Nothing can e’er again be the same.

Above the din of the murderous mob,

God heard the cry of His Son;

“It is finished,” He said,

And then bowed His head,

The plan of salvation was done.

Beyond the reach of death, hell and the grave

Jesus arose, death conquered for me!

With the keys in His hand,

He’s now in command,

Through Christ I, too, am eternally free.

Over, above and beyond

All expectations, in Christ, were surpassed,

Filled to the brim,

Running over with Him,

Victorious! Triumphant! I am FREE at last!

As valuable as our personal freedom is, it can’t even be compared
in value to the freedom that we have in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Galatians 5 has been called the Christian’s Fourth of July; and the
very first verse says, “Stand fast in the liberty by which Christ has
made us free…” We are free to surrender – to the Lord who paid for
our freedom at Calvary. We are free to forgive; as we have been forgiven and ensuing Love liberates and delivers us from hate. We
have a freedom banner of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control .
(Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV).

Jesus said, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” (John 8:36 NJKV). Like our personal liberty, it is free to us,
but it was not cheap. Jesus paid the ultimate price for it, His life. He
fully paid for our freedom when He took our sins upon Himself and
paid the necessary penalty. Knowledge of that truth makes us free.
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
(John 8:32 NKJV). Even if we should lose our personal freedom,
we can still walk in the liberty that Christ gave us, through His
grace, without cost to us. The price was so great that we could
 never have paid it.

“Jesus paid a debt that He didn’t owe,

because I owed a debt that I couldn’t pay.”

“The Lord their God will save them in that day, as the flock of His
people, for they shall be like the jewels of a crown, lifted like a banner over His land.” (Zechariah 9:16 NKJV). “In that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people…”
 (Isaiah 11:10 NKJV)

“Wave the banner of Love, sing His praises, exult in the
 God-given freedom, exalt the freedom-Giver!”

LET FREEDOM RING!
